Jacket Go-To Guide: Choosing Branded Jackets That Actually Work

A jacket has to do more than carry a logo. It has to earn a place in someone's daily kit.

When people say they need branded jackets, they often mean very different things. One team needs lightweight layers for travelling between jobs. Another needs weather protection on site. Another wants smart outerwear for customer-facing staff.

The right choice starts with use, not just price. Think about whether the wearer needs warmth, shower resistance, stretch, breathability, high-vis, extra pockets or a clean corporate look.

Softshell, insulated or waterproof?

  • Softshells are brilliant all-rounders: smart enough for customer-facing work and practical enough for light weather.
  • Insulated jackets are better when warmth matters more than decoration space.
  • Waterproof shells are for wetter jobs, but you need to check seams, breathability and where decoration can safely sit.
  • Hybrid jackets can look premium, but panels and fabric changes can affect embroidery and print placement.

Decoration matters

A jacket can be a pain to decorate if the fabric, lining or panel layout fights the logo. Before committing, check left breast space, back panel space, zip position and whether the garment needs specialist handling.

That is why we like to talk through the job properly before recommending a jacket. The best-looking option online is not always the best option once your logo goes on it.
