Softshell Jackets
A great Softshell for starters is the Result R909X, which is a great spring-summer option, with great credentials with it being made from recycled content to form the material. Tested by multiple members of our team, with a starting price of around £30 (exVAT) it represents great value for money, for the specification. It has a smart cut, which means it can be tied to formal business attire and it doesn’t look out of place.
Another softshell option which gets great reviews and feedback is the Regatta Professional Ablaze 3 Layer Printable Softshell Jacket (TRA610). A little more robust than the R909X above, it has a great reputation with service trades and provides a great entry option for those actively working outdoors. The beauty of the Regatta Professional range is its ability to cross match across the range, giving ultimate colour tone consistency and brand performance. Regatta Professional is an offshoot range from the well-known outdoors equipment. A guide price with print is around the £38 (exVAT) mark.
If we’re talking Softshell Jackets then the ultimate high end Softshell Jacket would be the Stormtech Men's Patrol Softshell XB-3, again a product tested by one of our team, so we speak from experience. See the review here. Honestly this jacket performed in Winter Wet dog walks and would equally perform well in a mountain leadership environment. The level of trim and features is very reflective of its price tag, which is a premium.
Hybrid Jacket
So, if you’re looking for a Hybrid of a Softshell and padded jacket, the next one is again one tested internally by us, is the Craghoppers Workwear Castleford Hybrid Jacket
Craghoppers CEN005. A jacket which we started testing in the July in a summer conditions, just so we could get a review up for it, ready for the Autumn. Needless to say it didn’t disappoint, everyone who visits our showroom and picks it up is always impressed, it provides the great cross over from spring autumn in to winter. A guide price with embroidery or print is around the £90 (exVAT) mark.
Fleece Jackets
The sister product of the Castleford jacket above, Craghoppers Workwear Morley Fleece Jacket CEA007, a great chunky fleece, which has great impact and thermal specification as well. The Craghopper Workwear range is a range which provides great specifications, albeit with limited colour options, but is absolutely designed for trades workwear, which crosses well over into other sectors equally well, for its level of specification and detail.
If you’re looking for a great jobbing everyday workwear fleece jacket, first stop for us would be Regatta Professional Thor III Men's Interactive Fleece TRF532. Well known, well specified, great slightly above entry level without compromise jacket. Takes embroidery well.
Gilets
Another up and coming product we are seeing in the workwear portfolio which is akin to jackets is Gilets. We’ve had feedback on various options from the Result portfolio, starting with Result Recycled Compass Padded Softshell Gilet R238X, which hits a sensible price point, with a good range of colour combinations. The next one we’ve seen a few of is the Result Urban Men's Ice Bird Padded Gilet R193M, a chunky gilet, which styles nicely in a contemporary vibe. The last one worth highlighting from the Result range is the Result Recycled Thermoquilt Gilet (R239X), a great well styled option which will tie between formal workwear and shopfloor workwear with ease. We previously mentioned Regatta Professional above under the softshell jackets, the product links within their portfolio also has some interesting gilets; Regatta Professional
Men's Navigate Hybrid Bodywarmer (TRA894) which again links to the colour combinations of the Regatta Navigate range, again with great brand pedigree. If we are talking colour combinations with Regatta Professional, then the options which link from
E-Volve Unisex Hybrid Bodywarmer (TRA905) provide great opportunities to subtle branding styling. As with both Result and Regatta Professional, they have a superb broad product portfolio which delivers options at all price points. Again the price points reflect the Result products above, from budget to good reflecting the same price range.
Padded Jackets
Let’s start with the ultimate Stormtech Mens Oslo HD Parka HXP-1 (female fit also available), we know and understand this brand, and have used it for the top performance. The insultation values alone are impressive, Stormtech is a Canadian brand, they understand how to protect from the elements. Yes, we have clients who have had options at this level. We will say if you need to see us for an inspection garment, we do need to arrange this, so one can be in our showroom for you. A guide price for this Parka with a branded left breast would be in the range of £125 (exVAT)
A level down from the Stormtech, we’ll opt for the Craghoppers Expert Unisex Winter Padded Jacket (CEN003) a brand we know and trust, again the pedigree of the brand you know it will deliver the results.
Great option for staff teams who need jackets for in-between options, the Regatta Professional Men's Navigate Thermal Hybrid Jacket (TRA549). This picks up on the multi-colour tone options which make it look a branded option without the expensive price tag of expensive custom options.
Site Jackets
Starting with one again tested by the team; Result Denim Texture Rugged Jacket (R326X). Pro’s – great insulated jacket, tough hard wearing, good ample pockets. Cons – the bulk of this jacket do make it very full of body, not necessarily for the active individuals during a days work. However, price point good for the specification.
Regatta Professional Dover Men's Fleece Lined Bomber Jacket (TRW297), over the years we’ve printed and even embroidered copious of these jackets, we’ve seen them go into businesses and outdoor activity centres. This speaks volumes for this absolute classic jacket, which has been a range stalwart for Regatta Professional for decades. Interestingly in the las two years they launched the High Vis option on this (TRW457), which has had favourable reviews by clients (insert link to your review – linkedin?)
Hi-Vis Jackets
Our go to brand is Yoko, Starting with Hi-Vis Softshell Jacket (HVK09), we’ve done more of these in recent years, as it nicely overlaps several sector’s needs, including railway, where the need for compliance to RIS-3279-TOM standard is met.
Yoko has a classic Hi-Vis Bomber jacket (HVP211), where again, choosing the right one will see staff and key teams members good for a few years. Useful point, this product also goes upto 6XL for the chunky door staff needs.
For event staff we’ve done Hi-Vis Road Safety Jacket (HVP300) a highly functional product, delivering safety needs for meeting compliance for health and safety on event sites.
