Better Production Isnt About Buying Machines

Every now and then we invest in new equipment. Not because it's new, but because it helps us do a better job for the people who trust us with their brand.

Our latest investment has been replacing our Direct-to-Film printer with a wider format system. On paper that sounds like a fairly small upgrade. In reality, it changes quite a lot.

The wider print area now allows us to fully utilise the width of our powder application and curing system. That means we can produce more transfers in a single pass, making better use of every production run rather than leaving capacity unused. It's simply a more efficient way of manufacturing.

The result isn't just faster production for us. It means we can respond more quickly when customers need repeat orders, larger volumes or those inevitable "we've forgotten three hoodies" moments.

Just as importantly, it gives us complete confidence printing across almost every garment we're likely to supply. From combed and ring-spun cotton through to organic cotton, polyester, poly-cotton blends and stretch performance fabrics, the process delivers consistent, durable decoration without us having to compromise on garment choice.

We're also pleased that the system continues to use environmentally responsible, water-based inks. It's a practical step that reduces the environmental impact of production without sacrificing colour, durability or print quality.

This is how we like to invest. Quietly. Thoughtfully. Not for the sake of having the latest machine, but because every improvement behind the scenes makes life a little easier for our customers.

Most people won't ever see the printer.

They'll simply notice their garments arrive on time, look right, wash well and continue representing their business exactly as they should.

And, for us, that's the bit that really matters.
